Sometimes you move back to express the essence.

Sometimes you move in.

  1. Awesome. I find water and waves most fascinating ( I’m totally taken with Rachael Talibart’s approach.) This is quintessentially you, your work. so well done.

    • I am also taken by Rachael‘s work, as you know. But the last thing I want to do is imitate her. Inspiration is one thing, and imitation is another. So I am very consciously taking it in my direction and in doing so I am discovering things about these photographs and about my direction that I never suspected. Anyway, I’ll stop philosophizing and simply say thank you very much.

      • And I thank you very much for your responses and philosophy. You’re a role model – not only for me.

  2. And you HAVE expressed the essence. I think there are lots of photographs of waves to be found, and maybe it’s not so easy to say something different with a photo of a wave. But I think you’ve done that.
