As the forms resolved into a loose spiral, they slowed and remained stationary. We were rapt and remained stationary.

  1. Beautiful.
I so much would like to see the northern lights one day… But I don’t like the cold.
I remember a friend visiting the north of Finland in January. I would have never survived that. 🙂

  2. I know so many people who have gone to see the northern lights and came away empty-handed. You had an incredible showing Michael and of course captured it perfectly. Well done; lucky you!

    • Thank you very much. We were afraid we’d come home empty-handed too. We went out the following night as well but it was a dud. Still, if I were you I’d go. I know you love to travel. It’s not that big a deal from the East Coast. And even if you don’t see the northern lights, the country is flat out beautiful especially for a photographer.

  3. Not everyone comes back with such stunning images.I know of a few photographers who were skunked by the conditions. Very glad that you were not one of them. These are wonderful.
