January 26, 2020 — The Thórbergur Center, Hali Country Hotel, South Coast, Iceland
Shot a few minutes after the image in the last post. Looking a bit further east. Unlike the last image, not a lot of post-processing work here. Despite its monochromatic appearance, this is a color photograph.
Stay tuned…

Wonderful bleakness and solitude >>> End of the World stuff! And of course I agree, bleakness can be very beautiful. 🙂

It’s a severe scene, but I can see how it’s beautiful, too. Great title, by the way!

Thank you very much. I didn’t think of it as severe, but I can see how it could be thought of that way. Certainly it is an unforgiving environment if you get on the wrong side of it. Óli went to great lengths in teaching us exactly how not to get on the wrong side of it.

As always, uniquely you. I like the layers of texture. I received two notices hours apart for this post. More WP quirkiness?

Thank you very much. I accidentally posted it earlier than I intended to and took it down immediately. That’s probably why.

Still as magical and serene. And words like numbness, solemn, awe… to name a few, come to mind.

Thank you very much. Interesting to think of numbness and awe in the same thought.
