There’s a fog upon the Bay.
But they have not lost their way.
They’ll be docking soon they say,
While they still have light of day…

Somehow I imagined a razor scraping off the paint in swift but perfectly precise movements revealing the white canvas. Very ‘near’ to me.

Thank you very much. That is the exact effect I intended. The images in this post really exemplify it:

Love the picture >>> and the thought of George Harrison. 🙂

Thank you very much. I wonder what George would’ve thought?

Until I checked just know, I never knew there’s an actual Blue Jay Way in L.A. I found out there’s also one in Round Rock, a large suburb immediately north of Austin. Whether either of those streets existed before the time of the Beatles, I don’t know.

By the way (or by the blue jay way), I also just found out there’s a website called The Beatles Bible, which gives the following account of how George Harrison came to write that song : https://www.beatlesbible.com/songs/blue-jay-way/

It’s a great story. I was unaware of the thin Peggy Lee connection. She might’ve looked out of the fog and asked if that was all there was.

And now I see that Peggy Lee’s real name was Norma Deloris Egstrom. A name like that might give a singer a fever that’s so hard to bear; that’s probably why she changed it professionally.

And when she did change her name professionally I’m sure she thought she was “Miss Wonderful“

The one in LA certainly did. For many years the city had a very hard time getting the street sign to stay there for very long before someone would steal it.

There are so many colors in that gray. That’s a favorite thing, pale grays that are made up of many colors. It’s not just black and white. 🙂

I’m glad you see that. Thank you. I work hard to preserve it.

I like the subtle bit of color, pink/magenta in the sky. I see sunrises sometimes that leak slight bits of warmth through the overcast that is barely recognizable but I have not tried to capture that. I am impressed with your keeping it real.

Thank you very much, Steve. The original frame sort of tells me what it wants. I do its bidding.
