August 18, 2019; Estoril, Portugal. Balmy morning on the balcony, enjoying coffee with my wife’s brother and family. It had been a sunny morning, but as we got into the second cup, the fog came in.
This is different. Where I come from, a second cup makes the fog go away.

Now that’s a great fog picture. You should license it to the Portuguese office of tourism.

Great image Michael. Wondering if you also have a close up of the city in fog

Thank you very much. No, I don’t. You will, however, see a picture that was taken six minutes later tomorrow.

Thank you very much. If they mean a close-up of the same area without fog, no I don’t.

I like the sweep of the fog as it rolls over the town.

Fog simplifies everything beautifully. Well done, Michael.

The way you’ve framed it, with those great sweeps of fog, the city appears to be a miniature, if not mythical. It could be the setting for quite a tale: think the Brontë sisters meet Stephen King.
Visually, it brought to mind Mont Saint-Michel. It’s a beautiful image.

Thank you very much. But now you’ve done it: the Brontë sisters meet Stephen King. Can’t get it out of my head. Stay tuned for the next post.

Fine atmosphere; as if clouds have fallen down from the sky.

It was amazing. Bright, sunshiny, and then very suddenly this. Stay tuned for the next post which shows what happened just six minutes later.

Beautiful waves, Michael – dreamy and soft. I guess they were still rather warm?

Thank you. It was a warm day, but I imagine the fog was refreshingly cool for those who were in it.

I’m very late to the party, having been away, but oh, what rolling fog this is! Or was. Beautifully done – I like the slight detail in the buildings, it’s just right.
