Some people enjoy living on the edge.
What did you mean by “a distillation”?

Distill: to extract the essential elements of; refine; abstract. I’m working on going beyond the edge.

Such simplistic Beauty you’re able to pull from , as you say, what Mother nature provides. Do you keep info or thoughts as to just how much work has to go into such an image?

Thanks very much, Chris. Different images take different amounts of time in post processing. I spent a couple of hours on this. Trying various approaches and accepting or rejecting them and then refining, refining, refining.

Another very nice image, Mike. It really does distill the flower’s form to a lovely essence and with the dark background the color is rich and pleasing.

It seems like a votive, or a cup, and also as if it was made of wax. It’s interesting how much the nature of something can be pushed and pulled and changed at will. 🙂
