The two lighter areas near the top edge made me wonder whether you’d flipped one side over to get the other, as you’ve done elsewhere.

Yes and no. I did, in fact, do that to get more symmetry. Originally, the two spots were rounder and a bit to the right. Now, with blending and some transparency, they are elongated and centered. Don’t tell anybody.
